Not much is happening around the farm today. In fact when you look outside you would NEVER know it was Black Friday, which is a good thing! It is quiet here for sure and I am loving it! Everyone is back home safe and sound this afternoon and I’m recuperating from a major cooking marathon! Tomorrow I’m making ribs to go with the rest of the leftovers, since we have one more round of kids coming and then Thanksgiving will finally be over. And I for one will be thankful for that!
I am also thankful Milo Otis came for a visit. He is growing in leaps and bounds and really was only a wild child the first night, then he settled in a bit and didn’t terrorize my cats too much.
This is the first time that I have really been able to get a few good shots of him when he is mellow, since he is always on the move! Oh how I wish I had his energy.
Milo is getting pretty independent. He either hangs out with Jackson and takes naps on our bed (the only time Jackson can really appreciate him) or he sneaks into the extra bedroom by himself when all the other cats have ignored him long enough.
When working at the kitchen counter he will come sit on your feet looking up at you, waiting for food! He ends up being a darn good foot warmer in the morning!
Milo only had a few time-outs while he was visiting and that was only on his first night. I made the comment that I think he is just misunderstood by my other cats… in which everyone laughed. LOUDLY. A one point when he was trying to bug one of the cats, my mom got up to give him a swat in which he put himself on time out before she could… he run into his cat carrier and sat there waiting for the coast to clear! He is smart!
I hope you all had a great Turkey Day, where ever you ended up!
